What model Porsche is this?

Hi,

I'm new to this site and was looking for some help to ID this Porsche. My father left it to me and I was told it was a '68 911. However, I read that the whale tail was not used that early-on. The dashboard reads "911 T." Anyone know what year/model this is?

I see it's got above-bumper grilles at the front, so that makes it pre-911SC? And only one door mirror. Maybe 911T is what it is.

But it's had quite a few mods since borrowing off later models - rear spoiler, body-colour bumpers, turbo-style protectors ahead of rear wheel arch.

But I'm no expert. Anyone else?

It looks like a heavily modified early Porsche, there could well be an original '68 911 T under the wheel arch extensions, add-on spoiler and respray.

The only way to tell for sure is from the chassis number.
