What do you guys think about this?

Not for me

As the ad said "Status",this car is for someone who dont know 911s very well and want to impress. :floor:

£20k for a cat d 996 gen 1 does not sound like good value.

As they say on Dragon's Den "I'm out!"

No, no, no.......keep looking :thumb:

If you think of it as a kit-car replica I've seen far worse and for under £20k it's a lot of car.

It will always have a limited appeal - and you won't find much support on here - but as a poseurs car, 'Joe (and more importantly Joanne) Public' would be fooled.

If I was 20 and single I might be tempted.

I notice the seller hasn't included the pics of the real 'giveaway' - the 14 year old interior - in the first pics you come to.

You have to scroll down to find them.

I always said I'd prefer the 997 if it had the 996 interior. Having now seen it, I'm not so sure.

I have already a beloved 996T, so no need for anew car, just want to see what u think :)

It looks the part in the pictures but I saw one of these in the flesh a couple of weeks ago and from a distance it looked wrong so we went for a closer look. It looked out of proportion and the intakes for the intercoolers were just painted matt black as the vent went nowhere.

Looks good enough but end of the day it is a Cat D 996, 1999 for £20k. No, no, IMHO!

It was a CAT D 5years ago, I would think it was more than minor damage
to write it off back then.

turbo

To have had all that work done if the parts were real I would have thought that just the parts alone would have put the owner at a loss so that says a lot about the over all car mines a standard 996T and thats the way it should be if you want a new turbo then save. I have a £6000 Breitling watch I could have got a fake for £200 but it wouldn't feel the same if you know what i mean.

Looks like our forum owners have chosen this very car for the banner across the top of this page.... :hand:

I rather liked this touch "REAR SPOILER(GENUINE)" as if it is the one "genuine" part? :floor:
