It's that time again when I need to change tyres. Have PS4s currently but looking for something new.

Likely to go for PS5s but any other good choices these days?

Sizes are 275/35 ZR18s and 225/40 R18s

if you can get the Ps4s or PS5s in those sizes, then they are your best choice

isn;t it 2653518 on the rear

As long as they are Michelin you’ll be fine. For me they are always my first choice

I doubt the Pilot Sport S 5 is available in the sizes you need, perhaps the Pilot Sport 5 - but that's not the replacement for the PS4s.

Similar search imminent to replace my Continental N rated tyres. Mine is a 996.2 so 225/40 fronts and 285/30 rears.

Ideally want to switch to Michelin Pilot Sports. The whole N rating thing has got more complex since I last looked so more research required!

Also, seems the later variants of the Pilots not available in the 285 size.

Fitted a full set of PS5's to my 99 C4 recently and now they're bedded in they're fantastic in my opinion and got a great deal through Tyreleader...all 4 for less than £600.

Worth mentioning that the C4 rear is slightly narrower than a C2.

I have gone to Bridgetone Potenza Sports.

Steering is much better than the Michelins, turn in is much quicker and far more positive.

I would say they are just as comfy and a bit quieter too, dry grip is just as good, but, it looks like the wear rate is not going to be as good.

Wet grip I can't say, I never dared push the Michelins in the wet, and won't with the Bidgestones either.

I found the Michelins great for grip, excellent in the wet, comfy enough if a bit noisy on the rears, but the steering was terrible, just didn't feel sporty at all.

I don't think you will go wrong with any, but that sharp steering I really missed.
