i need to get the engine temp sensor holder for my 997 3.8, I’ve been told its like a rubber gromit that fits onto the intake manifold but drops off easily?
What’s it called and where can i get it ? Any ideas please

It is called a grommet as you say, the part number is: 993 110 530 01

And yes, it's very easy to drop and lose!

Thanks for the reply and part number, is there a better way of fixing this? Seems like a common problem, I’ve got my sensor cable tied to my aircon pipes at the moment so not ideal for long term, anyone come up with a better solution ?

When I replaced my AOS I nearly lost the little blighter a few times.

I found it best to fit the temp sensor into the grommet, and then stick the grommet into the manifold - it takes a lot more force but once in it's solid.

If you put the grommet in, and then try to get the sensor into the grommet, it'll probably push the grommet behind the manifold and then either left to spend eternity on the top of the head, or the need to remove the AC compressor to get into that area.

I'd say get a new one, fit the sensor first so it's 100% seated into the grommet and then push it into place 👍
