I just love replicas...

I especially like the idea of a 170 bhp 'lag special' RS turbo lump with a VW 4 speed box.

I love the guy's wife's comments ...

"Then after some work was done and a little paint applied the comments changed to BLOODY HELL YOU'VE GOT A 911"

Bless her.

I particularly like the comment 'its taken me 224 hours to change the old website to this one' not a month, or a few weeks but 224 hours!!

Did somebody say ***** retentive??

Surely, for his 224 hours labour and all the time he has spent polishing a turd, he could have bought himself a nice SC

for god sakes....what a bunch of sad, wannabees.....sorry, I know everybody has a dream and those of us (real) Porsche owners must consider ourselves fortunate, but to do this!!! I can't imagine what sort of a c**t (I apologize for the use of this vulgar word, but I can't think of anything else appropriate in the circumstances) you must sound down the local pub when you turn up and the first person asks you about your "Porsche" and you have to tell them its a Ford Escort in drag!!

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE ON?!!

Well, they do say that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" don't they?

Let's chill out shall we chaps?. So, these things do nothing for anyone here but if it floats his boat, well fine, he's happy. There are lot's of other forums, no names, where you can go to spend your time sl*gging off other people's p&j and imho they don't make happy reading.

Richard. It was all harmless fun until decompressing used the 'C' word.

Circumstances- I hate that word....

would we sl*g off a 356 replica club?

I think not as they are v cool!

Just a bit of light hearted banter ... well mostly.

I have to admit I really like the 356 replicas. Very tastefully and sympathetically done.

You have to admit though, its one thing to try and build a 356 around a 1600 VW engine, quite another to attempt the same thing with a 911 Turbo. There's just something not quite right about it :)

So who here is hiding a little dark secret below their 993 body panels?

Good grief! What a load of tasteless tat! That includes the lovely Val draped over the white one... Did you notice that two owners' cars share the same reg no?

Just shows you've got to be really careful when you go buying a 911. The only clue that it's a Covin and not a not genuine 911 is the in-line four in the engine bay.
