I have been a Honda S2000 driver for the past 3 years and have now , due to kids decided to sell it and replace with a Porsche. I have not driven one yet but will be very soon but on first impressions I like the 993 Cab but don't know how much they are ?

If I have in the region of £20k, would I be able to get a 993 cab and if not a what year 911 cab should I look at. It has to be in really good nick as I intend to use it every day.

Any other suggestions for a convertible Porsche which is going to give me a great ride but can also accomodate the kids in the back ?

Gus

Gus, welcome to the forum :) I have seen a couple of 993s (not cabs though) dip below 20K recently, all with big miles on the clock though, which may not be the best thing if you plan to run it as a daily motor. Have a look at RSJ Sports cars on the front page of this site, they have a black 993 cab for £23500 with 66K miles, not a *bad* deal I think. And yes, even with the cab, there is room for a couple of (small) kids in the back :)

Thanks for the feedback .I really don't want to spend to much above 20K but do want a cab, any suggestions for other models that would fall within my budget ? As you rightly said the lower the mileage the better, if I am going to be using it everyday.

how about a late 3.2 cab? 15 K ish for a good-un and plenty of dosh in the bank to ensure top maintenance.

perhaps not as "modern" but an amazing value for money/enjoyment for money choice. also, you'd get a RHD one rather than a high miles early 993 LHD

just my £0.02 worth :)

Unless you are totally hooked on the cab id have to reccommend getting a 993 coupe lhd.
