Ok So my Becker cdr23, has problems.I didnt want to spend £460 having it sent back to Becker. Its a lot to spend on an old cd player.
Bought exact same model from Ebay. However, I cant get it to "prompt code" and was told that it had to go to Porsche to be coded to car.
I visited this morning, and was told that I still need the code. They are going to try and get it from Porsche but as its 10 years old, it might be futile.
Engineer at Porsche, asked me if it came up with a code prompt. It didnt.
I used an online decoding service, who told me also that they can decode it, but they need to know if it requires a 4 or 5 digit, and if it doesnt prompt, and just shows "Protected" Its no use anyway.
Any owners, of this player, can you please advise as to whether, it indeed requires a code, and how do I get it to prompt? Thanks Guys.
