Ultimate Porsche

Just bought the one off Ultimate Porsche magazine published in conjunction with GT Purely Porsche and was amazed to not find the 2.7 RS in it, can anyone explain why? Even the 924 GTS got in there!

I suppose because the public voted for them- the same thing happened with 5th Gear's best Ferrari vote- the 80's Testarossa won! nothing wrong with them, but come on, what about the 250GT0, 288GT0, F40??

Especially wierd though in this instance because the votes came from GT&PP readers.

I can understand the Top Gear Ferrari thing as people probably just vote for the one they've heard of (especially as the Testarossa was famous when a significant proportion of the magazine's readership would have had posters of it on their bedroom walls!).

But yeah, odd that a bunch of Porschaphiles wouldn't rate the 2.7 RS as one of the greats. :roll:

Praps that'll mean prices will come down then !!!

But serious Porsche fans wouldn't waste their valuable time replying to some daft survey (who gives a toss about the results anyway?) that gets their name on some marketing mailing list. The main respondents are folk who can't remember some of the famed Porsches.

Same goes for Ferrari (as you say, RB)... 275GTB anyone?
