I've recently come across company on the internet called Black Circles selling, what appears to be, reasonably priced tyres which may be of interest to members.

The company can send tyres by post or can arrange to have them fitted by a local agent - you input your postcode and they give you their nearest fitter and arrange to deliver them.

For 255/40ZR17 prices range from £89 to £181.50 inclusive fitted (e.g. Conti Sport Contacts N1 £140.00) and 205/50ZR17 from £90 to £169 (Contis £149). There is a special offers page too and you can register for discounts.

I've not tried the service so any feedback would be helpful. The website is:

Please note that I am not connected with the company whatsoever - just a sad surfin' dude.

I've used them - very good service. Not quite as cheap as
www.mytyres.com
but not far off it.

When I was looking around for new tyres the cheapest I found by far were Micheldever Tyres, they sent me 2 Pirelli PZero N2 255/40/17's for about £220 including delivery and VAT.

You can't order them online but they're very helpful when you phone them up and tyres arrived the next day.

The local tyre dealer wanted about £185 + VAT per tyre!

Ouch! I picked up a nail yesterday, and have been told that it is too close to the side wall to repair. Do I really need to buy a pair of new tyres - my existing ones were new only in January (about 3000 miles ago) ?
