Track Day Insurance

Don't want to risk taking my car on track without cover. My Insurance co. don't want to know, so I've just had a quote from "Competition Car Insurance" for a day's cover.

It was £300 (for £30k value of car) !!!

Seems expensive to me!

Who else can I try?

They're the only people I've ever heard of who still do 'one off' cover by the day. One or two companies (Norwich Union I think, for example) include cover for PCGB organised days in their normal fully comp policies.

Otherwise just go for a lower level of cover / higher excess. Alternatively take the route most people take i.e. don't bother with Insurance - if you do enough trackdays the money you save over time will pay for a prang !
