Now see, Butiz, Liz and myself.. Did have a puncture ! and when we got our new Kart it was only running on one engine !! and we was called in 3 (YES 3) times to have the other restarted !

Well the positive thing is nobody has started blaming other team members (yet) :)

not forgetting

  • only 1 engine working
  • marshall on the track
  • someone waving yellow flags
  • Elite not getting out of the way
  • those who went for a dip into the stream at the exit of the hairpin on the back straight then laying down a nice wet link for anyone following !
  • the rather odd pit change process
  • Elite still not getting out of the way quick enough
  • questionable timing equipment

No ones complained about the pit lane limiter being stuck on yet? I'm amazed.

It's a good job they don't time track days. We never hear anything but excuses then!

I was asked to act as a mobile chicane by the organiser in order to even out the results.

Your were lucky to be slowly catching me up. I was still trying to dry off the sludge and other debris after landing in the swamp! It took me ages to clean my visor too.

I did wonder why you were going around with your detailing kit .... :?

Team 3 kart was optimised for anti-clockwise tracks and therefore had a tendency to try to do 180 degree turns on every corner in order to correct direction of travel....

I wasn't the only one to think that then! Also, I was getting out of the kart one time and noticed a £2 coin on the floor but ran (sorry, walked briskly) past it so we could complete our changeover - did someone plant that in order to slow down our changover?!?

Personally I reckon my baggy 'wet suit' cost us a little speed on the straights, it was like wearing a sail!
