Imagine how well a Boxster S would have done!

Yeah, a bit more expensive though at £38k. Also who is new Stig? Or is it same as old one just ''repackaged''?

Bit of a generalisation sure, but I suspect there are a large number of Boxster owners that long to own a 911, in the same way owners of "normal" 911s would want to own a GT2.

I read somewhere that the brakes were standard M3, which aren't that good anyway, criminal when you're creating stripped out racer (on slicks!).

Yeah I heard of a few horror stories. Also I believe that straight six is half a mclaren engine?

I think it was unfair to compare the time to the GT3 from last week, it was odviously a lot wetter when the GT3 went round. ( I know I may be biased as I have one).

Also saying the tyres are at a disadvantage due to the cold, well the way the Stig throws it around, they will soon warm up. Plus the Pilot Sports on the GT3 are nearly track tyres.

As for the Stig, I think it's still Perry, just in white now.

My wife heard through the "Mini" grape-vine that the new stig is Damon Hill :p

This is my first post, please don't hurl too much abuse at me

I'm not sure about the coment saying Boxter owners only have Boxter because they can't afford 911. I certainly can't afford a new 996 but I don't have a Boxter. I'm sure plenty of people prefer Boxter to 911, right?

The only ones that do are hairdressers who have moved on from Z3's and don't know any better

Damon Hill is taller than that guy last night is he not? I would be wanting a re-run with Hill at the wheel if I had been tested last series. I think Stig is the same guy.

I notice nobody mentions the Honda S2000 that the ugly man with the relaxed afro drove (ie Jeremy). can he seriously think its in the same league as a porsche or a BMW? It looks boring and sounds like an amplified lawn mower.
Anyway my money would be on the porsche however I don't think giving the guy a speed yellow one did him any favours he already comes across as an ageing music teacher. Goodness knows why they can't have a seriously competent and amusing female on there. Surely there must be one somewhere.

TPT - you have to be joking. She is good for a laugh but that is about all. I reckon the guy who worked with her on "I'm a Celeb, get me out of here" deserved a medal for putting up with her
