Hi, My 2007 C2S has a problem,it wont start [sometimes] when i engage PARK. It will start in neutral.Any suggestions. THANKS

Does the dash display correctly display "P" when the selector is in Park?

I'm not familiar with 997 Tiptronics but many modern automatics need you to have your foot on the brake before they will start. Is it something as 'silly' as that. :?:

Actually .... further to GT4s comment.

If the lever isn't fully in 'P' (ie. pushed right to the top) the key wont come out ..... therefore if not fully in 'P' it may be the case that it wont start either.

My Turbo is particularly finicky about this in a way my C4 never was.

The lever is engaged properly, and the light comes on on park [as it should] ive had the car for over 2yrs and its never happened before.

Common fault apparently, cleaned all the linkages to the gearbox and sprayed them all with WD40,just took 15mins.Why didnt Porsche do this on my Major service 6mnths ago.

So you could bring it back and get it fixed at £120/hr maybe ??
