The effect of heat

One thing I love about the 993 is the effect of hot weather on it.

Look in your rear-view mirror and cars behind shimmer thanks to the heat rising from the rear arches.

Stand next to the rear arch and the heat is intense, so much gets thrown out.

Occasionally, when driving slowly with windows down you get a waft of hot engine and oil mixed together. Better than Brut.

Get back into the car about an hour after parking up and the seat belt is warm on your chest, from where where (I assume) it was spooled next to hot oil pipes.

With air con recently regassed...it's a very cool car.

Indeed :thumb:

Only let down if your lower cam covers allow oil to drip on to the heat exchangers creating a blue smoke cloud :hand:
