Any pointers on where I could get my original 993 Targa split rims refurbished?

I'd have thought any good wheel refurbisher could do the job for you. Sorry, I don't know anyone specific.

As a starting point, ring a good specialist, perhaps one who does sales, and see if they can recommend anyone.

I've noticed that some Targa wheels are repainted together with the split rim bolts. This looks great, but I suppose for true attention to detail, the wheel should be disassembled and repainted, and the bolts should be recoated in the original colour separately which may require special skills. That would probably cost loads, so it depends how far you want to go.

Robert.

That's good to know. I was uncertain whether these are repairable in the first place due to them being split rims.

There was an article in 911 & PW about this very subject - the owner did the referb himself nd there was a flood of letters that followed saying that he shouldnt have and only the manufacturer should split and re-join split rims. Just dont ask me to remember when the article was published.(within the last 3 years?)
