Those of you that know me, probably know what a gentle driver I am and whilst striving to make my cars as perfect as possible I tend to drive them very gingerly so there's a nice mpg figure on the on board computer when I arrive to them.
Today bought my first 991 C2S, 2012, 4000 miles,
Sports exhaust, sports chrono. , PDK ,

This is without doubt the most impressive car I ve driven since a 996 GT3,
I thought Porsche had finally built a decent water cooled car in the Gen 2 997, but.
The sound from the PSE is just incredible, as near as you can get to a GT3 flat out down the mulsanne straight past the Chinese restaurant, anyone who's been there knows what I'm talking about

The PDK is incredible the change is so much better than a 997, which I thought was amazing.
The speed of change the noise from the PSE, fabulous combination.
The down changes when the throttle blips to match the revs.
Forget the stories about electronic power steering.
The longer wheelbase makes the ride very smooth.
The electronics n the cabin really feel like the latest technology.

Just wish I could get to try a 991 GT3

That's an interesting review.

Any negatives with the car over earlier generations ?

Well done Mark.

Interesting. The more I see the more I'm really liking the 991, I eat my hat! I see quite a few now in all different specs getting prepped in OPC Leicester. The GT3 is a beast, the Turbo a very sophisticated brute, the standard cars so many different looks achievable.

Now, if it sounds that good, imagine if you drove it less gingerly Mark!

+1  I hated it at first, until I saw these pics and the interiors, might consider one when the kids grow and are struggling in the 997 :?:

Cars are getting larger and before I collected the 991 I dropped a 997 off that came in part exchange with another dealer.
He'd also just bought a Aston DBS

looking at the 991 half an hour later it did have the big car feel of the Aston.

Forgot to add to my earlier post the car has the Sport Design Paddle change steering wheel.

I do think the paddles and the exhaust note transform the car from the Gt Cruiser that its easy to think the car is.

But that exhaust note and the speed of gear changes as you accelerate up a slip road was really awesome

Being serviced today, so I get to drive it home tomorrow
:D :D :D

I nipped over to the Wilmslow OPC at the weekend and they had a 991 Turbo S, blue, PCCBs etc. What an amazing looking vehicle. The more I look at the 991, the more I'm starting to like it.

Mark, that looks a fantastic car, well specced and at a very reasonable price, someone will be very happy!

>>I even arranged for John Drake The Zymol approved Detailer to remove the transport film and detail the car from new, hence the photo of the car as it arrived at the dealership <<

the above taken from Stirling's description , v interesting and thorough
must say I recently visited a OPC and they had a 911/50 special edition on display in the light grey colour , and I noticed several albeit very light scratches and marks on it under the showroom lights --it wasn't perfect.
I just wondered how they prepare from shipping to delivery, to customer
I bought mine nearly new but if ever i got another would go the route
taken above by Stirlings and insist the first clean was by a proper detailer
rather than the OPC junior with his bucket and sponge
