Afternoon guys,

Have picked up my pride and joy and now need to get a cleaning kit together to keep it the way it was designed to be.

The car is dark blue metallic with black leather interior so can anyone suggest what to use to keep it nice and clean ?

Cheers

Toby

Zymol!

[tinhaton] await incoming barrage of Swissol is better than Zymol, no Zymol is better than Meguiars etc etc[/tinhatoff]

You have no idea of what is about to be unleashed

Richard,

I've seen the Zymol Vs Swissoil battle in other posts so I await a barrage of replies.

I think I might ask G unit what he uses as I've seen pics of the cars he has done and they look top drawer.

Given that there are loads of us who like to polish our cars and we almost all seem to like different things, personally I am a Swissol man, but I don't think you will find a huge difference between them.

So read the various other posts and attempt to make an informed decision, very hard given the following of each brand, and see how you get on. Obviously this could prove expensive for some brands.

Don't think you would go far wrong with either Swissol or Zymol and probably Meguiars. I would stay away from Auto Glym and real chamois leathers

All brands will give you a shine, some will obviously last longer and be easier to use etc...good luck.

Well G's a swissol man.

I think for most of us the most important thing is to focus on the hard work & effort that is required rather than the product you use. Having seen G at work his effort & application is incredible.

Putting in some hard work you'll get stunning results irrespective of what you use.

I think G is using Zymol vintage too.

Oh and Glasur has given some lovely results on my Lapis Blue car - pictures in Owners section.

Whatever you use it is hard work!

It is all in the preperation, then use whatever makes you happy.

What I'd do is as follows-

Get a pro, e.g G Unit (other specialists are available but he is well regarded by 911uk-ers) to come along initially and get your car really sorted, i.e. paint correction, cleansing, claying, polish, carpets, leather etc. It will probably take two days, cost a few hundred pounds initially but then it will never look better, and will be a doddle to maintain from then on.

Defo worth investing in some decent wax though- I'll leave you to make your own mind up!
