SQUEEKY CLUTCH

It has been gradually getting worse and worse, but every time I depress the clutch pedal I get a squeek.
Feels like the cable has gone dry and needs a lube, but aren't they fluid clutches?!
Anybody else suffered from this problem?
All help and advice is much appreciated.

The clutch is hydraulically actuated. It might be a seal on the master or slave cylinder failing or a mechanical problem with the clutch itself?
Either way, it needs to go into a workshop asap, in case its something which will leave you stranded.

I've not had chance to "play around" with the 993 pedals yet so someone else will hopefully be able to advise based on actual experience but usually on older cars the first port of call is some WD40 sprayed onto the pivot / any return springs and pump the pedal for a few minutes. Given the 993 is a floor mounted pivot this should be pretty easy to try :dont know:

When I had an MPL slave clutch cylinder fitted recently there was a slight squeek and notchy feel for the first 50 miles then it became silky smooth so ti could be the slave if the above does not cure it :?:

The squeek comes up through the pedal and it feels like something needs a good squirt of WD40, think it needs to go on the pit for a good route around. Due for a service next month, but not sure whether to ask dealer in Cardiff to have a look, may be an expensive fix using them!!

Clutch still works perfectly despite noise, thanks all for advice.

I had this on mine.
Its pressure plate wear.
It'll go when you get the clutch replaced.

:eh!:

I had a squeak when depressing the clutch peddle also.

Undid the accelerator pedal from the linkage by pulling off the ball and socket joint. Removed the carpet. Undid the two screws that secure the timber pedal board and liberally sprayed all the exposed linkage with WD40 - squeak gone!

Must be worth a try - 10 min job.
