Hi

Am just wondering why anyone would rotate the speedo on a 911 sc through 90 degrees anti-clockwise? Have seen this on a few cars, and cannot think why. Anyone could shed any light on this for me i'd appreciate it.

All the best

Guy

I've seen the Rev Counter rotated 90 deg anti clockwise but not the speedo.

Possibly so you have a better chance of seeing when you're about to hit escape velocity without peering round the side of the wheel? :D

so both the speedo and rev counter dials are level........

It's so you can easily see your speed from 70 ish upwards which is normally obscured by the steering wheel rim. Sounds silly but it is true.

Thanks for the replies.

Turns out on the particular one i'm looking at, it is done for the reason ian mentioned above (has a small steering wheel fitted - speedo visibility is poor).

Thanks again

Guy
