Another member bailing out of 993 ownership I'm afraid.
A French property purchase is emptying my bank account faster than my employer can fill it so needs must.
Thanks to all the clever people on here who've helped me out with my trials and tribulations, Jackal, OC, GT4 and many many others :thumb:
Sensibly priced on Boo's advice :D 

That's a shame Motoberg!

You don't seem to have been with us very long?

I have been looking in France for about 10 years, but I suspect I've missed the boat now.

The properties that I started out looking at were about a quarter of the price that they are now! That's what happens when SWMBO isn't keen on the idea!

Sadly, by the time she had changed her mind, the market, the Euro and everything else had conspired to move against us. :frustrated:

All the best with the house. :thumb:

Ps: Whereabouts have you bought?

Thanks Madasasnake,
September 2008 and two different 993's later.....

Bought in St Gervais Les Bains, due for completion in October

I must have just been thinking of your most recent purchase!

Beautiful area, but what's wrong with Skiing in Scotland and keeping the car?

Actually, having first skied at Glenshee, I know the answer to that.

All the best.

Have you really thought this through?

You've got a house in France and the perfect car to drive around those French roads.

Can you not flog something to be able to keep it.

Don't tell me you're going to buy some horrible French thing to run around in.

All the best though.

Where's your car advertised, so me and Zingari can pull your ad apart and help you get quicker sale?

Best of luck chum :thumb: The market will soon be awash with them v2 of Booo's guide will soon be hitting the shelves :nooo:

FWIW I did the maths on owning a place abroad. It worked out that for the capital spend I could factor in enough holidays for 20yrs and not be tied to one place................

My business partner has a very nice mini chateau place in Limoges, central France, he spends most of his time there doing DIY to keep the place running and I've been three times which is more than ample ... c'est tres boring after a while.

Not a great ad, but a good price.

Probably a bit too modified for this place. Maybe not.

PH will get you lots of offers if you can bare to put up with their kind of buyers.

Good luck.
