When I login, I usually do so after wanting to post or do something else for which I need to login. I don't suppose I'm alone in this.

This means I get taken to the front screen, I login and then have to navigate all the way back again to where I was. Other forums manage to take members from the login screen back to where they were when the need to login originated, if you see what I mean. Would it be possible to do that here?

And while I'm here, can I suggest a password field that doesn't show plain text?

Well, I just logged in and the password was asterisked, and I went straight back to where I started, as requested. Have I done something differently/odd...? :oops:

Hold on, nothing's changed! What was the login screen I saw at the front of the site earlier on? It wasn't the two small fields at the top left of the window (white out of maroon) but a large area mid-screen. Hmm, maybe I'm losing it...

LOL. Yes, there are two login areas, neither (as far as I know) will redirect you back to the forum, and the top left login should be *******

I think it's to do with my cookie settings, which are fairlty aggressive. It does mean I need to login once or twice a day.

The redirection issue has now been resolved, but only from the main login screen (not the top left login, which I may get rid of soon anyway)
