Apologies for asking this question but I don't have a PCM manual in my set!
Have looked through the various posts on this subject but still not quite sure.
I have inserted a Vodaphone SIM card in the PCM slot and the car says "phone not connected" is it that simple or am I missing something fundamental?

Thanks.

Pj.

Ah, think I have found the problem no option 666!

back to the drawing board then.

The telephone module is indeed an optional extra and is code no. 666 as you mention. I am surprised the original owner did not spec this because it seems to be commonly specced amongst 997s. You may be able to get this retro-fitted if you are not going down the after-market option of Blue-tooth which some members on here have (however any Porsche warranty you may have will of course be voided).

Hi Maxie

Thanks again for your help, 666 must have being the only option the original owner didn't spec LOL!
Not a problem as its not my daily drive, but a waste of £10 on a SIM card.
