Should my gear linkage be this loose? Is it worn?

Hi All

Occasionally it doesn't go smoothly into 5th gear.

Stripping out the centre console bits today to replace some parts and I took this video of the gear linkage. It looks worn to me?

Any thoughts? Should I replace it?

If you're looking for a rifle bolt action, you'll need to pull that apart and do some mod. There is the opportunity to buy a SSK, but you'll also need to mod the white plastic to get it perfect

Here is a link FYI. For The SSK, I'd speak to Alex

Doesn't look massively worn to me. There will always be some play.

How many miles on the car?

If you'd like to improve the feel then I would advise to stay away from all the kits and get a .2RS shifter from your OPC, metal bushed and slightly shorter throw. Reasonable priced item from memory.

Thanks for all the replies. Doesn't sound like it has that much play from the replies, the .2rs sounds interesting, I'll check it out, although I'm not sure if I want shorter throw? Maybe just less play.
