A top bunch of guys with a lot of experience - just rebuilt my gearbox on my 82 SC - they have transformed the car - even gave a tune-up in the very reasonable price.

Neil and Anthony know their onions, a lot of higher end Porkers there as well.

A1 service, highly recommended

Hi Wayne,

Always good to see a positive recommendation, if its not to cheeky can you send a PM giving some details what was actually replaced and cost/time they had the car, as I am thinking of a gearbox recon on my SC.

Thanks Richard

Hi guys,

Yep, no worries, here's what they did (from memory - I'll dig the invoice out over the weekend)

Synchro's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th (the gear sets were new - replaced by previous owner)

All sliding sleeves;

Gaskets;

replace shoddy short shift with oem shifter (2nd hand - new bushes etc etc)

Oil - engine and box;

6000 mile service;

MOT, adjust rear calipers, new Avon zz3, wiper blades, unclog washer jets;

set-up CO and idle;

labour - engine out, box out, teardown box etc etc

£2345 inc vat, which to me is very reasonable as they have totally transformed the car, both shifting and running due to co adjust.

The guys are the most friendly, informative and helpful mechanics you will ever meet.

Thanks Wayne,

Seems a very good deal, 915 gearbox bits are not cheap.

Yes, on hindsight it was a very good deal, however, at the time I had just bought a new house, and it did hurt a bit (not as much as the beating my wife gave me though!!!)

Forgot to mention that these guys also have a number of 911's, a boxster and the usual 928's, 944's and 924's breaking as well
