I would like to change from a C4 1999 coupe to a C4S.

I can either:

Sell privately - might have to take a low offer for quick sale an then buy privately which is preferred

Sell to Indie - will have to take an even lower offer.

P/ex at Indie - if they have the right car available

P/ex at OPC - pay through the nose for the new car but with warranty.

I would rather keep the car than give it away. I am sure I can drive around getting prices etc etc, but has anyone been through this and would make a comment.

Thanks

Rich

Sundeep - If someone buys on the basis of this question I will gladly give you the advertising fee. I have it listed on P'heads at the moment. I would put one on here but how old are some of these ads.

Just I would like some feedback before advertising all over or trawling around dealers who will in some cases leave me wishing I had not bothered.

Yours cunningly

Rich

that is not the kind of response I would have hoped for, hellp me out here, I am trying to overhaul the site, which I know will take time, sure there are few problems but when they are pointed out they get addressed, I will address the advert age issue...

why should it be different, if you want to advertise your car put an advert in then we can discuss the world out of it, as with 1800-2500 visitors a day, the advert will be seen......

and I've even updated the for sale section rules to the benefit of users, if you disagree please pm me for clarification, I think I'm being very fair.... in the same way I did not discuss or advertise my car for sale on the fourm

the above has been edited, I leave it with you to decide

Sounds fair Sundeep. I guess we do want to see an improved 911uk!

Imho, "Best price?" questions are best asked by looking through what's already out in the market... 911uk, PH, phoning a trader, etc. and making a judgement on the condition/attractiveness of our own car.

Some people on PH post up the advert, and draw peoples' attention to it asking for how it could be improved. I think this is always a good thing and helps show the seller as being genuine/having nothing to hide.

Just my £0.01...

Whats the link to piston heads advert ?

Oh just using PH as an example - anyone on 911uk could do the same thing. ie, set up the 911uk ad, and create a thread in the forum asking for honest feedback on whether the ad was good/bad etc...

Rich, I advertised my 993 C4 on 911.uk.com yesterday and have received 2 emails and a phone call already. I haven't sold the car yet but it's early days.

I believe the right car at the right price will find a buyer on this site. At £15 it's certainly worth a try.

Good luck.

Mitch.

btw, I mentioned selling my car on this forum and it was deleted within 12 seconds. Consider yourself lucky your post is still around.

Sundeep you're right. It was wrong of me to say it had been deleted. It was in fact edited/moved to the appropriate forum. And yes I'm pleased with the level of traffic and the response to the add.

In fairness this 911.uk is a well administered forum. Well done to you all.
