Scottish Borders Servicing

I know, there's a huge shortage of mechanics just now , the garage in Selkirk (Ettrickside) is mobbed , I had asked them if they wanted to expand or at least do all the Openreach vans at my place but not interested. There must be 10 Openreach Transits there all the time blocking what was a already a very busy garage.
I'll see what happens but if you want to come over and get your car up on the lift (foc) , give me a shout. Stichill isn't far away for the Borders

Well I'm not a trader , I suppose I was offering my services for someone with a 986/997 who could use my lift and knowledge if they want to have a go at doing basic servicing on their car, something that would take a day at the most so they could drive here , do the work and drive home. I would have to charge a small fee for my equipment and time if they needed me but not much really.
If it turned into something bigger then great. There's not many places to go with a Porsche up here. Look in Porsche Post at the back for Indi Porsche and there's one in Scotland and they're not Porsche Specialists.
My latest lift is 3 yrs old , fitted by supplier and has an annual check.
Hope that clears things up.
I have to check and you'll be surprised (or not) at the stories we get from traders in disguise

I'm a trout farmer or at least have been for 30yrs , fixing all our vehicles, pumps and machines is something I've had to do as we couldn't afford to have someone do it , I enjoy it mostly but don't want to work on dirty, rusty old cars...sole destroying.

I spent a few decades working on my dirty, rusty old cars, which required a whole different skill set from working on anything new. There are a whole lot of dirty rusty old suspension parts, engines and gearboxes, brake and coolant pipes and even more, out there on old Porsches who`s topsides shine in the sun...

Hope things work out as you might wish..(y)

Very kind! Cheers I may take a run up Ettrick when I get my car back on the road and the better weather is here!

Go for it, you'll never know unless you try & if you don't you will always have the "what if" nagging at you. Good luck.
