After deciding that my next improvement will be to get the wheels refurbed in black I just can't decide whether to go with satin or gloss?
A quick Google shows that I am not the first to have this dilemma either!
I have the carrera 5 spoke alloys so if anyone has pictures and opinions on either colour I would be grateful for the help!
My car is basalt black.
Thanks guys

There, the man from 911uk's Styles Team has spoken. As for me, I thought satin was matt but then it's probably why I was never chosen to be part of the Styles Team owing to my complete lack of taste.....

you may wish to consider a "matt-satin" ...low sheen satin that loos more "functional" -- can look great on track focussed cars

satin . i just had the range rover alloys refurbed in a satin dark grey, looks great , i might get the 997 turbo ones done the same . its the colour of the audi black addition wheels.

Ignore Roro's claim to be the style guru, have you seen his pyjamas?

(Don't panic, I haven't!)

:)

He hasn't even got a Riviera blue car! :o

Satin is what we used to call eggshell in the olden days.

The big issue with black is that you're tyres look grey, unless you keep treating them.

That's why, in my humble opinion, colours like anthracite and deep grey look good.

Gloss black would be a nightmare in anything other than a show car.

Cheers guys, yes satin is the favourite but I then saw some pics of matt black which also looked great but think it's going to be satin.

Satin goes gloss after a while from the 'wax' in the car shampoo, unless of course you dont snow foam?
