I've just watched a vid of this guy just bashing away with a lump hammer at a rear panel after hacking it off with a jigsaw, he then sprays it with some kind of hammerite on and rivets a piece of body kit on. How on earth people pay for this is well beyond me, although there seems to be plenty willing, it reminds me of things we used to do to old escorts and capris but they were 200 quid sheds, these are like really nice air cooled porsches he's chopping up, out of interest is there anyone that would have this done to their car, or does anyone agree that it's not great, or have any opinion on this matter.

I like it! Its very unique styling and has a cult following, not sure id pay for that myself but its got its place imo

it divides opinion but I think it's a work of art

Acquired taste really, I first became aware of Nakai-san maybe around 2011 and have liked his stuff ever since. I don’t ever see myself owning one, but I like looking at them. He’s doing 997s too now, seen a few on YT

I've always admired Nakai-san and his creations, perhaps it's as I have an admiration for people who are happy to mess with their cars and stick two fingers up at the "OEM/as it left the factory" brigade.

They look even more impressive in the metal, I saw one for the first time recently at the German National Auto Museum (link) and they have a real presence.

I wouldn't have one, unless I was rich and had a collection of nice cars :)

Phil (Morrison, Drift works) has a 964 Turbo RWB, and has done a fit bit of YT content on it. Worth finding and watching if anyone’s interested in these cars

He’s made a good living from absolutely ruining 911s.
Some days I don’t mind the look of some of them, but most of the time I think they look like OTT tat.
And regardless of whether I like them on any given day, they are the most bodged, chopped up creations I’ve ever seen.
He literally takes a power saw to the rear quarters and wings. 🤦🏼‍♂️
Forget 3D scanning or CAD drawings. He just wings it.
But hey, one man’s “Artisan with an amazing eye for detail” is another man’s “Trampy old chain smoking hobo, armed with a mallet”.
I won’t say which camp I’m in. ;)

I know a bloke with both a 964 RWB and a 993 RWB. They are wonderful things, with enormous presence.

And for the record, I don't mind if someone paints his own Ferrari a pale pastel blue, adds a K24 and then races it. I much prefer to see a car used and modified rather than some 'one-of-twenty one' in a museum or collection that is slowly just rotting away. But that's just my opinion, and I know it's not worth much. 20200829_104640 993 RWB.jpg

For me i've seen cars written off for less damage than what,s happening to these, but up to now it seems the like it's are in front. I'd have to agree i really like what singer does it's another level altogether.

After being at Porsches in the Glen on Sunday their was a line up of Singer,Goonter and a dakar. It was the least interesting line of the show. The pink Goonter was an abomination of the highest order. The only place for it was in that Barbie movie and then the breakers. The green singer was for me just a waste of money, interior looked crap compared to some of the rs replicas at the show with recaro pole positions. You don't have to spend hundreds of thousands to get a tasty cool porsche!DSC_0682.JPG

Ffs Marky, stop beating around the bush and tell us what you REALLY think 🤣🤣🤣

I saw this guy working live on Sams detailing RWB in Sheffield - its not to my tastes but the way he was just so natural with the cutting and fitting was true art - no second cuts just full commitment and talent. Maybe some day they will be to my taste but for now I can see the appeal, just not by me, but i do see the craft in his ability after seeing it first hand
