I've changed the title to just keep all my posts, updates n stuff in one thread.....

So, we chucked some bags in and headed south this week...
I'm also a 'cyclist' (I work in the cycle trade) and decided to do a stage of the TDF, the guys were prepping the road today.
Any way... HELLO, here's some pics...

Hello and welcome to 911UK!
Great pictures, and I salute you on your choice of car, I love the wide body C4S, Especially mine! keep the pictures coming, we kind of like that stuff here :thumb:

Hello

Hi and welcome....great C4S..but I would say that...

Great stuff fella :thumb: I'd had mine about the same length time when we took it to Valencia for the MotoGP, via most of France & calling in to San Sabastian :)

Super way of 'bonding' with your new car! :) Welcome!

Something very appealing about that 911 in the pics - great shots, keep them coming! And Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks ^^^^^

Marky, did you do a picture thread?

Anyway, we drove back yesterday, followed a Blue 997 4S for a while, we also saw loads of 911's heading south, in 'packs', presumably heading to Le Mans.
The original plan...
We didn't have any real idea of where to go, so we just booked the train and shot from the hip. Though the brief to the nav (mrs Greeni), was to find hotels with secure parking... As the novelty of the 'new to me' car hadn't worn off!
First place we stopped at was Reims, beautiful clean city, with a mahooosive cathedral.

The food was awesome, though I am spoiled as mrs Greeni is such a great cook! As you can see, I'm not a big drinker...

Next day, off to Annecy
I liked the big *****

Bad shot, I know.
Le%2520Road%2520Trip%2520060.JPG

First stop, it was around 33 degrees and I made a schoolboy error of noy getting the air-con gassed before going :frustrated:
Did I say I'm a big Defender fan?

The hotel view was not bad

The Lake was packed, as one of the cleanest lakes in Europe and very popular, it has a cycle path around it the stretches for around 30miles!
See if you can spot 'Le Dix hommes'

The town was beautiful too, with 'average' food, but a FANTASTIC ice cream parlour made up for it.

Next day we headed up a hill.
See if anyone can spot what I did here?

My camera is only a point and squirt thingie, so I pointed it in the direction of Mt Blanc, zoomed and clicked, I'm quite happy with some of the shots.

Troyes was the last stopover, again, great buildings, average food and we had the noisiest mf hotel ever, as the street below amplified the sound into the room, not a great nights sleep before the 400 mile jaunt home.

Looked like a fantastic trip.

I keep promising myself to do a European road trip.

Get the car how I want it and then give it a go. And convince the better half :)

Only just seen this thread!

A belated :welcome:

It looks a great trip!

I've driven through the same places and will be doing so again later this year; I can't wait!
