This regards fitting the kit to a 997.2 GT3 RS.

Does anyone have any experience in getting this done?

Rough idea of cost?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Is OPC warranty important to you? If so then your only option is to buy a car with OEM front axle lift already factory fitted.

Otherwise, KW do front axle lift systems, have a look at JZM website, it's about £3k + fitting from memory. Or you could ask your OPC to retrofit, not sure at what cost, but likely to be a lot more than going the aftermarket route.

The car has not been purchased yet. I'm just trying to do a little homework to see if it's economical or not.

If it was to be done, regardless of warranty or not it would have to be the official porsche kit.
However I've just been informed by some members on Pistonheads that it might be as much as £8-10k.

So I think I might be knocking this idea on the head.

Fair enough. Although I definitely think it's a nice to have, I wouldn't necessarily go out on my way to get a car with front axle left. After a few months of having my car, I thought that my next GT3 would definitely have to have front axle left. However a couple of years down the line now it doesn't bother me at all scraping the front splitter. Not sure though if the Gen 2 front splitter is as cheap to replace, and also as flexible as the Gen 1 splitter, which might impact that decision depending on cost of replacement splitters.

Yeah, it's amazing how many people have said it's be cheaper just to buy a load of splitters instead of bothering with the lift kit.

Before I bought my RS, I looked into the viability of retrofitting the lift kit to
a blue GT3 RS gen 2...I was told by Porsche Cambridge, that for their own
kit it wasn't economically viable....

The same car also lacked the PCM, now as long as it had ''Sound Plus'' that
could be retrofitted at some cost. At the time I was a bit gutted, the Blue
gold combination was my number one colour combination.

Is yours white/gold? That seems to be the one colour my dad is now favouring...

If I found you a blue/gold, we could maybe work something out haha.

Yup, white and gold..that's my baby !

It's a beauty :)

I assume it's not for sale?

If it has PCCB and front lift then my dad has cash waiting for the right car...

I could even point you in the direction of a 2010 blue/gold with PCCB & Lift which isn't advertised, but the owner would sell.

car is bound for the Iberia 2014 BAT trip !!
