Before I venture to the body shop to have my bumpers repainted etc the thought has crossed my mind in relation to doing the above.
I find it hard to judge the rear and with not wanting to ding the bumper, like the previous owner  , I would prefer PA system.
Now, part of me is thinking of acquiring the rear bumper with sensors attached, the control unit and alll the other bits required. The option code is I635 and I'ver done a search in PET for relevant bits.
Has anybody does this fitment?

That would be a tempting retrofit for me too

I was interested in exactly that for my 997.2 but was told the car needed additional wiring, so not possible.

I ended up adding the parking dynamics PDC and whilst not the most accurate it does work and has a beep to remind you to pay attention. Plus no bumper drilling!

Well, with us not being to far from each other maybe we could hook up one day and us two brains instead of one! :thumb: :thumb:

IMvHO - Anyone requiring park assist to manoeuvre a 911 probably shouldn't be driving one... :nooo:

A fair point John.
It's a requirement though for 'some' females in the world

Apart from a lot of wiring, it looks straightforward enough. It will need coding in the Instrument Cluster and Gateway once fitted. Have you got a wiring diagram? That's where I would start.

I have yes. I've already spotted a second hand control unit for the PDC; it sit under the passenger seat. :thumb:

Indeed. I too have it, but never ever rely on it. My mk1 eyeball still works fine.
