Got car back from Tognola - brilliant job on major service plus new clutch slave cylinder, lower cam covers and driver's door window channel.

Anyway, onwards and upwards and have 'borrowed' a period Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 48 from a (Aston) dealer friend. It works. I have original-fit Sony plus 6-disc changer, which jumps. Very silly tiny buttons. I only really want reliable FM, MW and LW.

Thinking of changing to the more fitting Blaupunkt and maybe a discreet iPod installation.

Can anyone recommend a fitter in Herts/North London? It has no wiring or connectors.

Call Karl of In-Car Electrics. We have used him for 20 years. A thoroughly genuine and extremely knowledgable guy. I have PM'd you his mobile. He is the perfect man for the job and will travel to you.

Thanks both of you - Nick Burton was driving near me and just popped round (Sounds Secure). Radio works and getting his mind round an iPod fitment via the aerial cable. Do-able. Next job is to spring-clean the front of the radio...
