I finally got round to fitting my red belts, I'm pretty pleased they brighten up the interior and compliment the red stitching on my suede steering wheel and gear change boot.

I'll have a pair front red belts, fully serviced and refurbished (new webbing) for a 996.2 for sale next week on an exchange basis with your old black belts next week.

The ones pictures are secondhand, not refurbished like the ones I sell, they were very dirty so I unreeled them fully and clipped them so they wouldn't retract and soaked them in a 70/30 water/bleach mix and left them overnight.

A gentle scrub with a nail brush got any stubborn areas fairly clean.

Very difficult to get them looking new though without re-webbing them.

Over 20 years ago I really wanted an MG Metro Turbo. The whole MG range (Metro, Meastro, Montego) all had red belts.

I can do any car, any colour, maybe on an exchange basis depending on the car, so yours is not off the road.

belts

looks really good, so how much does it cost.?

Moonshire,
Are you planning anymore red for the car. I have red seatbelts and have just noticed the seat stitching is white,

I like that - certainly brightens up a black interior :thumb:

It's a tough one, I've my eye on some seats with red stitching, but the door panels and dash etc are all in white and I'm not getting all that done!

I'll PM you.

I have red belts in my car.
I must admit my first thought was MG Metro when I saw them but I do really like them now and they brighten up the black interior.
Yours look great! :thumb:

I have red belts and red dials on my 997 4S, they really tie in well with the brake calipers so happy option choice for me.

Can these be done for a 996.1?
