Rear tyre wear on inside shoulders

My 997.1 TT has worn a set of tyres out on the inside shoulders while still having some tread across the rest of the tyre. I’m sending the car to my local independent Porsche specialist soon for other work and some bushes to be replaced but they use a back street wheel alignment shop. I’ve asked them to dial as much of the camber out as possible but I appreciate that that’s not the only solution.

Any ideas on how to even out the wear without compromising the handling? I’m not interested in setting the best ‘Ring lap times, just want to reduce my tyre consumption a bit. Having asked elsewhere, the common suggestion was a trip to Center Gravity.

worn bushes do cause this uneven wear, had the same issue on another car
there are no official ways to even out the wear

Your rear lower arms need adjusting or are mullered. Any outfit with a hunter alignment (like kwikfit) can check and adjust, unless the eccentric bolts are seized.

IVe had 2 991 Turbos and never had uneven wear, so sounds like alignment or bushing issue related to camber

I was in this position late last year. I took my, new to me, 2010 gen2 997 into Centre Gravity, as the inside of the rear tyres were baldy. Pete said the car had never had a geo and that the rear eccentric bolts had seized, the arms were OK but they just couldn't be adjusted. Two new arms and full geo and the car is riding a whole lot better and fingers crossed not shredding the new PS4Ss I've just had fitted all round. :)

I had this wear with the Pilot Sport N2s but since the re-alignment and Pilot Sport 4Ss no excess wear.
