Rear Spoiler

Hi folks,

Have any of you ever experienced a rear spoiler that fails to retract automatically.

I drove to work this morning and all was well, the spoiler raised as usual, but when I stopped it failed to retract, had a quick look under the lid and all the wires seem in place but wasn't really sure what I was looking for. The spolier did retract when I used the button on the dash.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Percy.

Percy,

I believe that this can happen if you accidently press the spoiler button when the spoiler is up and your below the 58mph (or whatever the exact speed is). The controller then puts it in to manual mode and if you stay below the limit it won't retract it when you go below 8mph.

Did you for example use the sunroof this morning and accidently press the wrong button, albiet for a second?

Best thing to prove that this was the cause, is to take the car out at lunch time for a blast, make sure you go over the limit, ensuring the spoiler raises. Then stop and see if it has retracted.

Thanks Gatekeeper, that may be it as the fuel light came on and I pressed the ! button and may have pressed the spoiler button by mistake. Will check later.

Cheers
