Hi,

Just wondering if any of you guys have used PCT for PPI's.

Its a manual X50 - Anything I should be asking them to look at out of the norm?

Thanks

They're an Indy down the road from me. www.pctcars.co.uk They are well regarded, although I rarely use them myself as we have plenty of choice around here.

They will know what to look out for!

OP, as you are presumably a local, we have a midlands Meet at the end of every month, see the meets and events section.

Feel free to pop along.

That's the place - no not local unfortunately.... Many meets in West Sussex area?

PCT is what used to be autobahn in Cov. Generally well thought I think but occasional threads about sales sharking.
You might look at Shirleys who are just up the road in Meriden. Smaller outfit but they have been there for ages.

I almost bought a 997 from PCT, the sales chap is ex Autobahn but PCT are a long established outfit run by true Porsche enthusiasts.

Even though I didn't buy from them I did find them very professional and easy to deal with.

Don't consider Shirley's for a PPI.

However, Martin Brown, (PorscheTech) who is in the building attached to them, is my Indy of choice and very knowledgeable.

PCT used to be next to Autobahn, who did the sales. A autobahn have now left and have taken over the sales side. The dodgy sales part was Autobahn, not PCT.

The West Mids locals seem to give a thumbs up approval to PCT. So the only contribution I can make is that if they know their 996 Turbos and the X50 especially, they will know instinctively what to look for and report back to you. If it's a manual, do make sure that they give you a download of the ECU data and give you an interpretation of it - to validate mileage and rev ranges (driving style/possible abuse).
