So I just got my service done at Porsche and have a few Red marks, I've decided to buy the parts myself and get a local independent to do the additional maintenance works to save a few £££s, but as a technical moron wondered if any of you techhy types might have opinions on any of my suggestions to keep it ticking over nicely.

Apologies for my ramblings, but I do very much trust and appreciate those with greater knowledge and experience guiding me through my spending :)

Tyres - 4 new tyres needed 2x 265 35 R19s, 2x 235 35 R19s obviously want to stick to N rated struggling to find a better deal than Kwik Fit for a 4x Pirellis at around £880. I am waiting for quote from Chris @ Excel who inconveniently has had a baby :)

Spark Plugs - Over £320 @ Porsche, should I buy Bosch from Eurocar Parts or a more specialst brand? Should I change any other spark plug related parts at the same time?

Ignition Lock - Porsche state this is sticking and needs replacing and want to charge me £240 to replace it, I am not sure what part this relates to if anyone has any ideas???

Battery - My battery seems to be on it's way out, which I read isn't uncommon for a 4 year old Porsche, I've been drawn to these AGM type batteries and can get them for approx £140, which I am aware is more than a normal but wondered if it's worth paying the extra if anyone has any experience.

Also after I have all of this done I feel tempted to send it into a detailers to make it look especially pretty, anyone have any reasonable contacts in the Midlands???

Also forgot to mention, my tyres have worn fairly unevenly and Porshce had an offer on 4 wheel alignment with the Hunter system for £150, I thought that sounded fairly reasonable. Any comments whether this process is worth the £££... I guess so it it saves me some tyre wear at £900 per set...
