i am in the proccess of replacing the engine management system for the third time in 12 months on my 944 registered 1984. the auto electrician said that its water damage again but cannot see where it is coming from.there is no damp inside the car and no leaks can be seen.the cables do not appear to be wet.can anybody give me any ideas on where this damp is coming from.also any extra weatherproofing that i can do to the E.M.S. to seal it without causing it to overheat or if it will overheat.can i totally seal it with clear waterproof silicone sealant.

Not sure you'll get much help here from a bunch of 911ers...

Have you checked out/asked on the PClubGB forum? There's a dedicated 944 bit there. Also, what 'auto electrician' are you using? Best results from a P specialist who really knows 944s and the like.

Hi Jim

there's a bunch of folks with 944's and an impressive amount of experience over on
www.porsche-1.net
- Probably better placed to help/advise
