Porsche issue stop/ use campaign on cars with Centrelock wheels

Spoke with a case manager handling the recall at Porsche GB this morning.

She said that they've got some parts in from Germany and have started allocating these - she mentioned that there should be a more substantial shipment at the end of the month - and the hope is that all vehicles will be fixed by the end of January.

That sounds encouraging.

Just heard from my OPC, they've received my replacement locking nuts and will be able to fit early next week.

Super happy :)

Hopefully we can all get this behind us a lot sooner than anticipated - good luck guys!

I’ve not heard a thing by from mine. I guess I’m not important after all. 😆

A bloke from the Porsche customer relations hub told me a compensation package was in place. When I asked what it was he refused to say and said I needed to ask my local OPC. So, I asked my local OPC what the compensation package is and they refused to say but mentioned I should ask Porsche customer relations hub!

This is very disappointing. When I got into Porsche, this was not what I was expecting. The longer this goes on, the more I’m looking at alternative options.

PUK have now paid the ‘modest’ expenses I’ve encountered, however I’ve not heard anything about compensation yet. My dealer said it was up to Reading to deal with it.
There’s a lot of talk about how folks with finance should be getting compensation for their monthly payments, but I’m struggling to see why they should be treated differently to those that have already ‘prepaid’ their interest and depreciation..

I agree- I see no reason why some affected customers should get more compensation than others.
My current status is rejecting the Mercedes 4 door saloon cars I’m being offered -
hardly a comparable alternative to a GT4RS

I'm still in a Enterprise Mercedes E220d awaiting recall to Silverstone OPC on my 992.1 GTS! Completely different animal to the GTS but I'm actually quite enjoying the experience. Liking the Merc, so comfortable and powerful enough. Topped up with £70 worth of diesel before I went to Yorkshire 3 weeks ago, range showing 860+ miles. 240 mile round trip + various other driving round about and I've still not got down to 100 mile fuel range yet ;-)

Shhhhhh, don’t mention the replacement car was good or they’ll reduce your compensation, lol.

The Macan they gave me had an awful ride (honest), so I’m looking for extra comp! 😜

Great result glad you’re sorted for the New Year!

Any news on compo yet?
PUK rang me to say my dealer would call me last week with an offer, but not heard anything yet lol.. 😜

Yep, my dealer emailed me yesterday to say they’re working on that now. They also asked if the car is on finance.
