Does anyone here have one of these fitted?

Are they worthwhile and are they easy to fit?

You could try what most of the boys on here have done, and drill some holes in your air box and put a sports filter in there, this combined with a sports exhaust will give you the noise you are after, though I dont know if it will improve a Varioram as much as a non VR.

Do you mean a Motorsound airbox?

This is an airbox cover which just clips on, replacing the other cover- dead easy.

Robert.

Get a 5mm drill piece and do it yourself. All you are paying for is the same airbox with the holes drilled in for you and a shiny air intake. Sounds great and improved my throttle response especially great when in traffic I found. Best free upgrdae you can do.

I didnt want to drill the box so I purchased one. On a 993 Cab, it was worth the pennies as with the roof down particularly, it gives a 'rortier' sound to the exhaust note and gets a big fixed smile, but makes ***** all difference to the performance

I have a spare airbox cover for sale if anyone is interested in drilling it out...

aye.. fabspeed is a real one... but pricey

OEM motorbox airbox, is merely a few holes and some shiny bits tempting in the air. but still works effectively !

a worthy and cost effective upgrade... don't expect more bhp's rather a better sound, which is more important !

Thanks for the help chaps.

Didn't fancy drilling holes in the original one to be honest.

Just ordered one last night, will fit over the weekend.

I have a fabspeed airbox cover which came on my car. I don't quite understand what all the fuss is about as it looks like a normal airbox cover but with most of it removed. I can't see why it would be any different to just driving around with the airbox cover off...

The Fabspeed cover is only there to hold the filter down and for the clips to clip onto.

Well, I fitted the Tequipment cover today with the nice shiny intake 8)

First impressions are very good. It feels as though the response is slightly better. The noise is definitely better :D
