the weather is good its a good event ! no sign of a Porsche event.... but may be worth and ask and check to see what the deal would be ?

Nice idea...

Did you mean Audi stealer or dealer?

Summer seems a long way away, but it does sound like a nice idea.

Planning: well Sundeep, as the forum's new social secretary you're just the man for the job! And of course the curry night all went off brilliantly... :)

Great idea.

I'd like to be counted in for that and would bring family with. Apolgies in advance for No.3 child who seems to love cars and climbs over everything he can get into.

well I went there with the mrs and made an entire weekend of it..... which we would do again.... as it's a lovely area and the beaches up around Dorset are great :)

It would be lovely in the Summer. even though it is quite a long drive from "up north"!
So count me in. It'd be nice for some of us to bring the family, so my other half and the 3yr old monster won't feel being left out.

AC- does that mean you won't be bringing your 911 there?

Sundeep, you did a fine job for the last meet , so you'd be the man for the job!

Nice idea. Plenty of time to drum up support etc.

Happy to assist Sundeep where required!

Heaven forbid. Poole would mean that Corbett clan would attend in force and in the 911. Sprog mobile would be used for ground support. Given enough notice for a booking, the children love Sandbanks Hotel and the 911. The in-laws are also within easy reach, so couldn't be a better choice for us.

If other families want to camp, we'd join in. My children would be 6, 4 and 2 in the summer of next year.

Looks like a cracking weekend then. I always told my boss (and 10-yr old daughter) that the 993 would be a vehicle for family trips out - both literally and figuratively...

Mick, another long haul for you. You'll just have to move! Is there anywhere on the Leicestershire Riviera that would prompt a mass 911 (993) exodus from London and the SE some time??!!
But seriously, good venues aren't only darn sarf, are they?

Bedford Autodrome, Donington Park

"But seriously, good venues aren't only darn sarf, are they?"

I'm sure my better half would go along with a meet in the Lake District or her back in the Yorkshire homeland, but she'd be a bit hacked off having to take two cars and dealing with the sprogs on her own. We'd certainly consider it but lets see how the Poole idea goes. There's nothing to stop someone organising something North of Watford as well!

Noony

I think you may need to speak to your father about the joys of looking after a gaggle of children on a race track. Maybe I'm just soft but I'd rather not hear my wife's opinion.

It's the start of a plan. We'll liaise again when we get towards fixing a date which presumably will be sometime from May onwards.

Sundeep

Hope you don't mind being informally voted in as Hon. Social Secretary

I was merely stating decent venues that aren't down south, not suggestions for any events

I'm sure we can meet in one of those track days as well, and since it's only a day off from the home duty, the all high and mighty might just ok it.

There really isn't anywhere around here I'd like to spend a whole wkend away in, besides, if we're going to have a wkend away, I don't really want to go anywhere nearby, it just won't feel like you're going away. So if it's within half a days' drive I'm fine with it. Anywhere by the sea is perfect.

Did think about moving further down south but then it'd be much further to go anywhere up north!
