Mark, I bought some at Goodwood Festival, because apparently "it did what it said on the tin".

Used it on the bike at first, and have done both cars (one tin should do at least 4 vehicles). Took a picture using my digital camera and was most disappointed to find out the I could read the VRN, however it was only after contacting the company to vent my spleen about how I had just paid £25 for a tin of spit, that they explained that speed cameras operate with an increased flash power of 500w and as a result the product does not react with car headlights, or the 2-4 watt digital camera flash. In sum, I can't prove it works as I have not had the misfortune to have it tested by the Yellow boxed 'Fun-Police'.
That said, the rational for buying it was not to kick the arse out of making progress, it was more a case of attempting to avoid those moments where you may not be concentrating as much and stumble across the new camera or are driving on unfamiliar territory (as I did in Feb (81 mph in a 70)).
Of note, forward facing cameras have the technology / pixel size to extract infomation from your tax disk, so simply spraying the number plate will not work (sneeky). Haven't thought how to avoid this one, apart from removing the disk from the screen when driving, but that's illegal and would draw unwanted attention.
I agree with Paul about the Origin B2 - got one myself and they are excellent. You can buy car kits relatively cheaply (thereby allowing you to swap the credit card sized unit between cars). The database for Origin is updated regularly unlike some companies who promise the earth and don't deliver.
I suppose the moral of the story is don't speed, but that's rather boring.
