Painting intercooler housing

Now bear in mind i'm doing a little dreaming here but how much would one be looking got get the intercooler housing (the reb bit) painted like this?

As long as it's only the housing you want painted and not the tray at the bottom, not a lot. If you want the tray, then it's engine out time.

Hell, a can of spray paint and I'm sure you could do it yourself. I guess you'd need heat resistant paint though.

Or since its black do i need to prime it with gold or white?

sounds like a good diy plan.... and the red looks lovely !!!!
