Just got off the phone to OPC East London

Prices for a 1995 993 tiptronic

24K service - £1,240

New front pads - £265

New rear pads/discs - £620

JZ is considerably lower!!! almost fell off my chair!

Should have checked earlier threads, they tell you to sit on the floor prior to receiving price from OPC. This way no injury will happen when you obviously lose balance due to light headed disbelief.

This then get us (once again) into the old OPC -v- Independent debate.

Mines had full OPC to date, but with prices like those shown by Toby, I think that my next stop will be JZ. On cars over 6 year, I guess that it doesn't make a difference as long as its a recognised specialist.

Run, don't walk from East London OPC. I am threatening them with legal action over their incompetence at the moment.

I have made a decission that I will be taking my 996 back to Northway where I bought it from rather than pay 3 times the price for inferior service at the OPC. I can't imagine it can make that much difference to price as long as you can prove that the car has recieved specialist care from a quality independent.
