..just thought I'd check to see what my reg was worth at
www.newreg.co.uk
, found it listed for sale!!! Funny thing is, this isn't the first time either. I've pointed out the error to them. Anyone else care to check theirs??

I bought a plate from them. After a few days negotiation on the price, with them going back and forth with the vendor and saying they couldn't reduce their commission to help the price, a deal was struck. When the time came to assign the plate it turned out that they were in fact the owners - it was a plate they had previously bought for stock. I tried to complain about this phoney negotiation with a non-existent 3rd party vendor, but apparently the directors of the company don't speak to customers. I would take great care dealing with this company!

I had the same thing happen, mines in the process of being sold at the moment but while i was getting quotes from various companies i found it advertised on one of their sites. This seems to be standard practice for reg companies, they will display your plate if you have asked for or been offered a price from them, but won't display a price until you have agreed a sale value. You can call them and ask for the plate to be removed from their database, not really worth the effort though.
