OBC Retrofit....

Hi everybody....just picked up my new 996 C2 and the only thing it doesn't have is the OBC....I'm aware that you can retrofit it, but has anybody done it personally? Even better, does anybody know of an independent specialist who has done it in the London/M25 area? I want to put the full stalk installation in. My temp display is enabled on my car, so I know its there!!

The car is a 1999 model year by the way.

Thanks very much for that info....I had never heard of them previously, but phoned them yesterday and have booked the car in...sounds as though they know what they're talking about on the phone...will let the board know when its done.

It is one very knowledgable guy (ex G Force I think) working from a small workshop. What you lose in the lack of glamorous OPC style accomodation, you gain in a £35 per hour labour rate!

Just had the OBC stalk fitted at Wrightune and I have to say that the owner (Tony) and his friend (Richard) were very helpful and I couldn't but help be impressed by their combined knowledge and tech abilities.

And the coffee was good too!

Would very much recommend them...I will certainly use them again, despite the longish journey over to them.

second hand ones usually go for between £100 - £200 on ebay - make me an offer? may be tempted to put on ebay to be honest as there seems to be plenty of interest.
