Gents,

Popped in to see Dean and Gary at D&G Motor Engineers this afternoon and they have firmed up the date for their opening evening.

They've got together with DDB Detailing (in the adjacent unit). DDB Detailing are doing machine polishing demos etc

Date of the open evening is Wednesday 28th August from 6:30pm

Address: Oak Rd North Sheilds, Tyne and Wear NE29 8SF.

PCGB are going, so lets show them a thing or two and take our motors along. :puh:

Anyone care to join me?

Chris

Might go for the crack Chris but I'm not spending any money :D

Ian

Will try to get along - they did the AC condensors etc on mine a couple of months ago and plan to have them sort out a few things when next service is due in Oct. Always good to have another independent option in the NE.

Be good to get the cars fired up mid week lads :)

No money spent other than fuel Ian ;) Not sure DDB sell detailing gear, so hopefully a cheap night here too!

Chris

Damn, I would like to go but flying of on hols that day.

DDB do sell detailing gear, I think it is his wife's business, goes by the name of Debonair Detailing.

I would have been there also but will be away :frustrated:

North East- D&G

I will be going to show my support after they did an excellent job of rebuilding my engine ! And dave at DDB did a really good job of detailing my car after the engine was refitted !

Saw your car when I popped I recently bud, looked great :)

First time I called in was when your engine had arrived from Hartech. Next time your car was over at DDB. The lads did a good job to turn it around so quick :)

Chris

Can fault dean and Gary I'm booked in for service and hope to sort a heat shield rattle that's doing my head in.

See you all on 28th

Hi Guys, I organised the event - it would be great to get as many cars down as possible.

Make sure you don't leave your wallet at home though as:

DDB & D&G have informed me that they're going to run a raffle with all proceeds to Marie Curie cancer care, a charity close to Mrs DDB's heart as they've cared for both her parents.

Top prize is a minor service on your car by D&G AND a full valet and polish from DDB Detailing.

Other prizes include: A Valet Pro products gift kit, Porsche Sunglasses, A Debonair Detailing Safe Wash kit and others.

All this as well as sample packs for everyone on the night too.

So don't forget your wallet, tickets are £2 each so dig deep for a good cause and the chance to win several hundreds of pounds worth of prizes; see you there at 18:30 for 19:00

D&G will have their ramps available for free vehicle health checks and DDB Detailing have some body panels available for anyone to have a go at destroying/polishing to perfection if you think that machine polishing looks easy ;)

I assume eldavo is Mr ddb Dave or could it be ddbdog

Sounds like a cracking night ill be there

Looking forward to this and will be grabbing a few raffle tickets for a good cause :)

Need some tips on DA use so ill pester you on that Dave ;)

Chris

Wrong David :)

I'm DC not DB.

I arranged the detailing event last year so arranged it for this year too and it made sense to tie in with Dean and Gary, especially as they've done a great job on my car too :)
