no air con on 996 C2 '98 tip

I've got no air con at the moment, but I was looking at the a/c pump with the a/c turned on with the engine running and the pump wasn't turning presumably it has a electro magnetic clutch which should engage when the a/c is turned on. Does any one know how to check the clutch is working.

Maybe needs regassing? lack of gas may mean that the pump doesn't come on. A specialist will quickly tell you.

I would concur.. that is normally the most obvious solution....
