Heya!

So my new wing is in paint, very exciting! But once fitted I'm assuming I need to code out/ change the spoiler from manual to fixed. Now can I do this using long coding/ adaptions with OBDII or is this a strictly PIWIS enterprise? I did a lot of coding on my TTRS. OR can I do it with a different reader (carsoft etc).

I'm assuming that when I hit the limit for the standard spoiler to rise - i'll get a fault code pop up on the dash - as the whole decklid is going, so the wing wont actually rise.

I've had a bad experience with cavandish in long eaton, so zentrum is my next option, but its a fair old jaunt and i'd team it up with an oil change and a check over from them, as i'm not too trusting of the old place.

Once its all sorted yes i'll get some pics up, here's a teaser

Just been down similar path and there are several options to change to fixed wing.

1) get OPC or specialist to code it out
2) Get a Foxwell nt530 which can program the rear wing to fixed. I choose this route because no one near me would do and can use this tool on other cars

There are other obd2 tools which can possibly do this but not sure which ones.

Which wing did you get?

From photos it seems you pulling off the wrap- hope it's all good under there.

OK so finally everything is done (for the moment) I got everything sorted bar one issue - which I would love some help with!

The foxwell doent seem to let me into the rear control unit to code out the unit - i've successfully coded out the spoiler raise button on the console - i've read that it's locked and I need to get it unlocked with piwis or a durametric reader - can anyone confirm? The nt530 just says not supported when you try to access it?

OR can anyone tell me where the option is for fixed spoiler? In the XL sheet for the foxwell - it actually doesnt list the coding adaptions - which is beyond annoying!

Ehko- please can you talk me through which menus you go through on the NT530. I didn't get a list of things it can do when I bought mine but eventually figured it out. I was able to change from retractable to fixed.

My car isn't with me at the moment so can't plug it in to run through. Pm me your number and I can run through when you have it plugged in. Hopefully be able to do what you want.

Nice wing, looks the same as the one on my 4S ,did you use the RS high level brake light delete panel or the turbo one :thumb:

Hi there. I'd be curious for your take on this. I need to do the reverse, i.e. I am removing a fixed spoiler so I need the rear pop-up spoiler re-engaged. In your view, should the tool work for this?

I just called the contact number of this page https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT530P.html and they said it wouldn't work (but an alternative product called PoCom would work).

This is obviously at odds with what you say above so I would be really grateful for your help/insight.

For anyone interested, I went ahead and tried using a Foxwell NT530 to recode my spoiler from fixed to retractable. It worked an absolute charm.

I had a quick look at my menus tonight again, I can't find it for the life of me - I found the part in the vehicle electric system to disable the manual raise/ lower spoiler button on the console, BUT THATS IT - for my sanity and others that will attempt it can you let us know the menu you used please?

Hi there. Can you clarify what you mean? Do you mean that the button on the dash is enabled/disabled but nothing else happens?

To be honest, that's all I checked - that the button works (it now lights up whereas it didn't before). I couldn't test whether it actually raised the lid because the whole lid was off of the car in the bodyshop.

I am not with the car or the foxwell at the moment but can check when I get it back.

Someone on rennlist said to me "Go to rear control module and find the spoiler option and turn it on."

Could we PM?
