Good Morning.

Just a quick introduction; having owned a 996 C4S for the past couple of years I felt a change to a more modern Porsche might be a good idea, nothing wrong with the 996 it was a lovely car and I thoroughly enjoyed owning it but it was time to change.

I was visiting a local car showroom with a family member not actually shopping myself, when I came across my new purchase; a stunning 991.1 Turbo in Carrara White with 35,000 miles.

The car drives amazingly, I'm blown away by the power and balance, it is crazy quick.

The car is not a sport chrono car, but as a road car I'm not sure when I would have used it anyway.

I look forward to learning more about my car through this forum, thanks for any advice on 991 ownership.

Jason

Congrats and welcome
They are awesomely fast -my issue was the amount of self control to avoid doing truly silly speeds as it was sooo tempting.

Yours looks fantastic - I did have a few issues with mine which were covered under warranty.

Enjoy and stay safe

Congrats on your "new" Porsche, I look forward to you sharing your ownership and more pics in time..?
ENJOY.. (y)

Congrats on your new Porsche. The 991 Turbo is an amazingly accomplished all rounder from urban town runabout to cross-continetal mile muncher. I've done a couple of European trips in my 991.1 Turbo S and it's a truly effortless way to munch up miles, yet it's also surprisingly useful on a supermarket run too.

Best colour, welcome :)

What does sport chrono add on the Turbo, apart from a clock on the dash?

Congratulations, very nice. I went out in a 997 TT and that was incredibly fast. This must be immense.

Castle Motors by the look of the photos? They often have some nice cars there. I watch the Williams Crawford videos on YT who are just up the road. They look a very decent place to look after Porsches if you are local.

Enjoy the new car

Thanks, it is an amazing machine, I bought my previous car at Williams Crawford and sold it through them too, as even after they took their commission I still got nearly £5k more than I was offered as a trade in by Castle Motors. That's not knocking Castle who have been great to deal with, just WC are a specialist Porsche outlet so they were able to sell to a more focused clientele I guess.

Congratulations on a spectacular machine! I think this version of the Turbo is often overlooked whilst the majority appear to go for the S model instead. I believe, as a result, the Turbo can be had for reasonable money. I was looking for one before I bailed out and plumped for a more basic Carrera instead.

that looks very pretty. Even though I was looking for a car with Sport Chronograph etc.. I think I've only used it once... When/If I buy another it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me

Congrats mate, that is stunning, my 991.2 turbo also came from castle motors a few years ago so seeing the pic in the same location was nostalgic!

Enjoy mate, perfect time to pick one up too!

Thanks for your comments, I'm looking forward to a fun summer getting to know the car a little better!

I've seen a few cars advertised by Castle over the years, it's a great looking dealership - was lovely to see when we passed by whilst on holiday in Cornwall a few years ago. Shame I didn't get to make a pitstop as they normally have some interesting cars!
